Strap on your walking shoes and bring your animal loving heart to an exclusive yoga retreat at White Oak Conservation. Immerse yourself in the wide open space that many endangered species call home and visit with animals in their habitats while learning about the life-saving mission of this organization. This family friendly weekend will combine yoga and meditation practices with wildlife experiences, outdoor activities, and gourmet chef prepared meals - all set amidst a backdrop of beautiful land and intriguing wildlife. White Oak Conservation in Florida spans over 16,000 acres of forest, wetlands, arts and wildlife facilities, and a golf course. The site houses more than 200 animals and is internationally known for its wildlife conservation of critically endangered species. Their mission is to “Save endangered wildlife and habitats through sustainable conservation breeding, education and responsible land stewardship.” Accommodations are in private homes on the property with private rooms and bathrooms.

$1250 / $1100 non-yoga / $625 children over 3

A $450 deposit reserves your spot and the balance of your fees is due before March 31, 2019.

Sample Schedule:

Friday May 3 - Check in 11am or later. Meet and Greet yoga 4:30-6pm. Dinner and drinks 7-8:30pm.

Saturday May 4 - Morning Yoga and Meditation. Breakfast. Guided Wildlife Experience. Lunch. Optional Activities. Afternoon Yoga and Meditation. Dinner and Drinks.

Sunday May 5 - Morning Yoga and Meditation. Brunch. Check out 2pm or earlier.

FAQS

When does this retreat begin and end?

You can check in at White Oak after 11am on Friday May 3 and our yoga activities will begin in the late afternoon. Our retreat will end on Sunday May 5 with brunch in the midday and check out is before 2pm. Check out the sample schedule above!

Do I need to bring my yoga mat with?

Only if you want to! Yoga mats and blocks will be provided for the group. If you need any special props to support your practice, please plan on bringing those with you for the retreat.

Can I bring my kids with me?

Absolutely! Kids are welcome at White Oak. Please see the pricing for children over the age of 3 in the registration section. Children under 3 are free and please list them as your roommate in the registration form. Child care is not available at White Oak so plan ahead for a non-yoga participant to take the kiddos during yoga and meditation sessions.

What if I don't want to do yoga?

Come with anyways and register under the non-yoga rate. Enjoy all the experiences this property has to offer and delight in spending time with the group.

How close can I get to the animals? Can I touch and feed them? Is it safe?

The animals at White Oak are wild but it is a safe environment for them and us. They live in their habitats and we are the guests. They will come as close as they would like to us given their enclosures and we will interact with them only as directed by the White Oak staff.

What should I pack and wear?

Pack casual clothing for leisure time and yoga attire for the group classes. If you plan on playing golf, horseback riding or doing another activity included in our trip, please bring the appropriate attire. It can be warm and humid in Florida in May - check the Jacksonville weather report before you pack to see the temperatures for our weekend trip.

Where do I fly into? How do I get to White Oak?

As stated above please fly into Jacksonville (JAX) airport. White Oak will pick the group up and drop everyone back at the airport at the end of the weekend. You will submit your flight information for ground transportation organization approximately a month before the beginning of the retreat.

Do I need to tip?

Gratuities are completely up to you. They are always greatly appreciated to recognize the amazing service of the White Oak staff! Any tips will be divided amongst all the staff at White Oak.
